Hello again! I answered the question on how to change the battery, and with the best answer! Now in the BIOS, mine is not going press F1 right after lighting. Somtimes say "key on the keyboard locked" or something, but ignore it and press F1 again and again and again fast and I could start the BIOS. thats how mine. If the battery has been in the BIOS the same place as mine then utillity BIOS could do the same. and for mine I do not need the CD, and reformatted several times mine and mine, the BIOS program is not on the hard disk. I know that the Compaq laptops, Compaq BIOS is on the hard drive, and not a nightmare. but F1 could do just nonstop support slide immediately after the power button, then start storing. Hope this helps

i gotta problems with my laptop.
once i left my laptop switched on and i woke up in the morning…He didn’t had battery (even if he was with the charger), he was on “sleep ” mode. i reset it, but that couldnt help. I checked the charger if its broken..i mean i checked for electricity – but the charge was normal. Now the battery lamp is flashing all the time. I removed the battery and i tried to switch him on just with electricity, but he can’t …and i can’t do nothing. So where is the problem, do you think guys that i should buy new battery?

Try a new battery, and just so ya know if you take the battery out it will not work with just the cord plugged in. The battery has to be in the laptop. If the new battery does the same thing then you need a new laptop
