How to activate the numeric keypad on a Dell XPS 1530?

The buttons appear in the U, I, O, etc. (0 9) I thought putting a lock on the lid open, but it seems otherwise. Does anyone know how to enable this feature?

To use the numeric keys on your system, you must ensure that the Num Lock is turned on (press the Num Lk otherwise). Once lit, you must press and hold the Fn key and press U, I, O, etc. for the numbers to be used in place of letters. Hope this helps.
