What is the difference between Intel Dual-Core and a Pentium 4?
What are the differences between Intel Dual Core and a Pentium 4? One of which is considered inferior to the other and why?
The double heart (Core 2) Driving is the successor to the line Pentium 4. Dual core is higher in many (most) ways. For example, the new Core 2 chips run on a 65 nanometer (nm), architecture, which normally means they are just as fast as a Pentium 4 chip was marked at 90 nm, and produce less heat. Less heat is a good thing. The reason mainly because dual core processors that only increase the speed or the clock frequency (1 GHz, 2 GHz, etc.), but also almost linear increase heat production. Because heat kills components becomes less effective in creating faster processors. Therefore, it was logical moving to multiple cores, and that is what we see in basic requirements (dual, quad core, etc..) One of the advantages of P4 dual core is more than most current games only support one CPU thread, as in other words that their dual core only working with a core in a game (half of its potential), while the P4 is the use of their full potential. However, P4 is a species endangered. Most nuclei of the dual systems are much more fast enough to handle today's games and future games support multi-mode core. Definitely go with the Core 2 on a Pentium.
