Can I use a floppy to install Leopard on my MacBook Pro iMac Intel Core 2 Duo?
My friend gave me two install disks Leopard who came with his iMac. The first disc is labeled "iMac (obviously). Otherwise, I tried to install Leopard on my MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz). Appeared a message saying it could not install it on my computer. Is it possible, eventually using Disk Utility to avoid this and still install Leopard on my MBP?
No. Apple makes hardware specific install packages for different lines so that computers are not the same and also have detection equipment as part of the configuration audit launch. He will not go on the MacBook Pro or any other thing except the iMac which is the same age or older newer than the iMac's friend.
